For dental crowns Boston, we offer patients dental crowns that make use of CEREC® technology. CEREC® stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.
In layman’s terms, it’s an advanced system that uses CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/manufacturing) software to conceptualize and create dental crowns. Incorporating state of the art 3D scanning technology, CEREC® allows dental professionals to visualize a virtual restoration of your teeth, which can then manufacture exact fitment porcelain crowns, as well as inlays, onlays, and bridges.
As a patient of Dental Partners of Boston, we want you to fully understand how the CEREC® process works and how it can provide the perfect solution for your dental crown needs. With that in mind, our team would like to illustrate to you how CEREC® gets used to create dental crowns Boston in three simple steps:
As we can imagine, the last thing you want to do is prolong any pain in your mouth caused by damaged teeth or previous ill-fitting dentures or crowns. At Dental Partners of Boston, we want all our patients to have the best care and solutions. But, we also want them to stop having painful teeth and gums as quickly as possible.
Thanks to our investment in CEREC® technology, we can make all that happen for our patients. There is now no need to waste time with temporary crowns, waiting for follow-up appointments to receive new ones, and make any adjustments. Gone are the days where the process of having permanent dental crowns would take several days - or even weeks, in some cases!
As our patient at Dental Partners of Boston, you can look forward to an expedited appointment and treatment. In only a matter of hours, you can end up with dental crowns that fit your teeth perfectly, feel comfortable, and result in a more confident smile.
When you have dental crowns, the last thing you want to happen is to end up with restorative work that only lasts a short period. With CEREC®-fabricated dental crowns from Dental Partners of Boston, you can be sure that your crowns are durable and unlikely to break.
One of the advantages of our dental team using CEREC® technology is we can focus on both the form and function of your teeth in the same appointment. What that means for you is improved troubleshooting. In essence, we can aim to resolve issues that other practices without such technology may have failed to address using conventional or traditional diagnostic methods.
While we love seeing you at Dental Partners of Boston, we also appreciate that our patients would much rather focus on their everyday lives and not have to take time off for several dental appointments! Thanks to the CEREC® solutions we have in place, we can provide a comprehensive in-house manufacturing and treatment process.
And because less time is needed to prepare and manufacture your dental crowns, you won’t need several dental appointments to complete your treatment.
After images of your teeth are taken with the CEREC®® 3-D camera system, the software creates virtual impressions of your teeth. The software also uses biogeneric comparisons to calculate the shape and size of your surrounding teeth, making restorations that fit the space precisely. Next, the CAD software used to tweak the virtual restoration, and then the image is sent to the in-house milling machine to create your crown, inlay, onlay, or bridge. When the system is finished creating the restoration, the tooth is carefully prepared and then the restoration is cemented in place.
If you need a dental crown or restoration, schedule your CEREC® appointment today. Our team of Boston Dentists will work hard to create a smile that you can be proud of. For more information about CEREC®, contact our office or make an appointment for a consultation.
