After images of your teeth are taken with the CEREC®® 3-D camera system, the software creates virtual impressions of your teeth. The software also uses biogeneric comparisons to calculate the shape and size of your surrounding teeth, making restorations that fit the space precisely. Next, the CAD software used to tweak the virtual restoration, and then the image is sent to the in-house milling machine to create your crown, inlay, onlay, or bridge. When the system is finished creating the restoration, the tooth is carefully prepared and then the restoration is cemented in place.
