Invisalign in Boston

Your smile sets the tone for every first impression that you make. With a great smile, people will remember you. With a bad smile, well, the results aren’t quite what you’d like.

One of the most common complaints we hear about a smile is that teeth are crooked, and how great it’d be if those teeth could be straightened. Most adults are rightfully hesitant to get adult braces – working in a professional setting makes that idea nearly impossible – and so they think they’ll just have to keep on with their crooked smile.

However, that’s not true. Thanks to some major advances in dental technology, we can now offer Invisalign® in Boston. It’s the orthodontic treatment that’s changing how adults view teeth straightening procedures.

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign is a way to straighten your teeth without the traditional bulky brackets and uncomfortable wires used in “regular” orthodontics. Instead of wires and chunks of metal, Invisalign straightens your teeth by using a series of clear, plastic retainers which gradually shift your teeth into place over time. You’ll usually spend less time with Invisalign aligners than you would with traditional braces, and the best part is that since the aligners are clear it’s pretty difficult for other people to even notice your teeth are being straightened!

How Does Invisalign® Work?

You’ll come into our Boston dentist office where we’ll take a mold of your teeth, and based off that mold a series of plastic aligners are created that’ll move your teeth into place over a period of months. You wear each pair for two weeks, discarding the previous pair until you run out of aligners. Once you use up the last pair, you’re done! Your teeth are straight and you didn’t have to once have a bit of wire or metal in your mouth to do so.

Now, Invisalign® does require some vigilance on your part. You’ll have to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day, ensure that you brush your teeth after every meal, and keep your aligners clean. Failure to keep up with these basic oral hygiene tips can result in cavities, infections, and other tooth decay issues that take more time and money to resolve than anyone wants to deal with.

If you’re ready to get that smile you know you deserve, then get in touch with us today to see if Invisalign® in Boston is a service that can change your life.
