In 2002, Dr. Guzman became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a distinction that recognizes advanced achievement in the specialty. His clinical expertise includes the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease; dental implant placement; bone and soft-tissue regeneration; and complex implant rehabilitation. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to integrating advances in implant dentistry, including immediate-function protocols that can provide patients with fixed restorations on the day of treatment when clinically appropriate.

Dr. Guzman served as an Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine for seven years, contributing to the education and clinical training of future dentists. He has also authored several scientific articles published in leading periodontal journals and has served the profession for eight consecutive years as an officer of the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Guzman joined Dental Partners of Boston in 2005 and became its Managing Member in 2010. Under his leadership, the practice has grown into a multidisciplinary dental organization with three Boston locations: Prudential Center, Charles River, and Fort Point in the Seaport. Working alongside a team of general dentists, specialists, hygienists, clinical professionals, and administrative leaders, he has helped build an integrated model of care centered on clinical excellence, collaboration, transparency, and an exceptional patient experience.

His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Massachusetts Periodontal Society. Dr. Guzman is a past recipient of the Massachusetts Dental Society’s “10 Under Ten” award, which recognizes dentists who have made meaningful contributions to the profession, their communities, and organized dentistry. He has also been named a “Top Dentist” by Boston Magazine for nine consecutive editions and has been selected as one of “America’s Top Dentists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America for 15 consecutive years.
