Congratulations to Our 2026 Boston Magazine Top Dentists

Eleven Dental Partners of Boston dentists have been named to Boston Magazine’s 2026 Top Dentists list, representing five different areas of dental care.

For our team, the recognition is especially meaningful because it spans both general and highly specialized dentistry. This year’s honorees include doctors in periodontics and dental implants, prosthodontics, orthodontics, endodontics, and restorative dentistry.

Our 2026 Top Dentists care for patients across our three downtown Boston offices at Charles River, Prudential Center, and Fort Point in the Seaport. We are proud to congratulate each of them by name.

Recognition Across Five Areas of Dental Care

Having doctors recognized across five areas of dentistry reflects the range of care available within Dental Partners of Boston.

Some patients come to us for routine dental care. Others need treatment that involves several stages or different specialties. A patient replacing a missing tooth, for example, may need a periodontist to evaluate the gums and supporting bone, a dental implant placed, and a prosthodontist or restorative dentist to design the final restoration. Someone experiencing persistent tooth pain may need an endodontic evaluation before the tooth can be restored. Orthodontic treatment may also be coordinated with restorative or cosmetic care when tooth position affects the final result.

Because these doctors practice within the same multidisciplinary group, they can communicate directly, review the same treatment goals, and coordinate the sequence of care when more than one specialty is involved.

How Boston Magazine Chooses Its Top Dentists

Top Dentists is a peer-review list, meaning the selection process begins with dentists recommending other dentists.

For the 2026 edition, TopDentists, now part of Castle Connolly, surveyed licensed dentists throughout the Greater Boston region and asked them to nominate outstanding peers. The nominees were then reviewed before the final directory was created. Boston Magazine’s 2026 list includes 796 dentists and specialists and appears in its October 2026 issue.

The process also crosses specialty lines. General dentists evaluate specialists, while specialists evaluate dentists outside their own specialty. That makes the recognition different from a patient popularity contest or an online review ranking: it begins with recommendations from other dental professionals who understand the training and work involved in each area of care.

For Dental Partners of Boston, having 11 doctors included across multiple specialties makes this year’s recognition particularly meaningful.

What This Means for Our Patients

Awards do not change the way we approach patient care, but this year’s list highlights something that has long been central to Dental Partners of Boston: patients can receive many different types of dental care from doctors who routinely work together.

A complex dental problem rarely fits neatly into one category. Gum health can affect whether a dental implant is appropriate. The position of the teeth can influence a restorative treatment plan. Saving a damaged tooth may require root canal treatment before a crown can be placed. Rebuilding a smile may involve several of these disciplines.

Rather than treating each step as a separate problem, our dentists and specialists can collaborate on the overall treatment plan. That can make it easier to determine which treatment should happen first, how one procedure may affect another, and what the final goal should be before treatment begins.

This year’s Boston Magazine list recognizes members of that team in:

  • Periodontics and dental implants, including the treatment of gum disease, supporting bone and soft tissues, and implant placement.
  • Prosthodontics, with advanced training in restoring and replacing teeth and managing complex restorative cases.
  • Orthodontics, including the correction of tooth alignment and bite relationships.
  • Endodontics, focused on diagnosing and treating conditions involving the dental pulp and saving natural teeth when possible.
  • Restorative dentistry, which repairs damaged teeth and helps restore their function, health, and appearance.

For patients, the benefit is not simply having multiple specialties available. It is having those specialties connected within one dental team.

To Dr. Guzman, Dr. Mujica, Dr. Frydman, Dr. O’Toole, Dr. Shiro Kamachi, Dr. Kumiko Kamachi, Dr. Park, Dr. Lau, Dr. Kim, Dr. Otsubo, and Dr. Labib: congratulations on your 2026 recognition, and thank you for everything you bring to our patients and our practice.
